REVIEW TOUR & 5 STAR REVIEW: Kiss My Boots (Coming Home #2) by Harper Sloan

In this second of the sultry, Western-set Coming Home series from New York Times bestselling author Harper Sloan, Quinn Davis might finally have a shot at her own happily-ever-after—but will she let love in, or will she tell it to go ahead and kiss her boots?

Quinn Davis prefers to live her life quietly. She’s the stereotypical tomboy with two overprotective big brothers who have always been there to protect her, especially from devilishly handsome cowboys with silver tongues. That is, until Tate Montgomery comes riding into town. Their first meeting, however, is far from something out of a fairy tale and only further convinces Quinn that men aren’t worth her time.

The only place Tate Montgomery ever truly felt at home growing up was during the long, sweltering summer months he spent at his Gram and Paw’s farm in Pine Oak, Texas. Now, Tate has returned to his childhood sanctuary seeking a fresh start—but if he’s being entirely honest, he’s not just back for the wranglers and Stetsons. During those summers, Quinn was a friend-turned-young-love who Tate lost when life threw him a curveball and he cut all ties to his past; but all it takes is one glance at the raven-haired beauty he did his best to forget for him to realize just how much he’s been missing….

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

Whew! This book is some second chance romance goodness!! I just LOVED Quinn and Tate so much. They met when they were young when Tate would visit his grandparents during the summer. Of course it wasn't until much later that their relationship turned romantic and they made plans for their future. But unfortunately Tate's father had other plans and ruined the happily ever after these two wanted.

But now it's years later and Tate has come back to take over his grandfather's medical practice. His return not only rattles Quinn to her core, but it also makes them face what happened all those years ago and everyone in town knows that Quinn never really got over it.

I loved their initial interactions. While Quinn clearly still had feelings for Tate, she had to get past her anger first. Meanwhile, Tate can't figure out how he ever thought that leaving Quinn behind was a good idea. And now he can't believe how lucky he is to get a second chance with her. Watching them work everything out was so entertaining. Quinn's temper and lack of a filter made for some moments that had me laughing out loud. I just loved the two of them reconnecting and uh, making up for all the time they lost. *wink wink*

And I know this was Quinn & Tate's book, but OH MY GOD I JUST WANT CLAY TO GET HIS HAPPILY EVER AFTER!!! He is the rock of that family and cares for his siblings like they are his own. I just love the love that they have for each other. So I will be (somewhat) patiently sitting here waiting for his book.
