REVIEW BLITZ & 4 STAR REVIEW: Bro Code by Kendall Ryan

From New York Times bestselling author Kendall Ryan comes a flirty new standalone about falling for your older brother's best friend.

There’s pretty much only one rule when you’re a guy.

Don’t be a douche.

Turns out, the fastest way to break that rule is to fall for your best friend’s sister.

Ava’s brilliant, sharp-tongued, gorgeous, and five years younger than me.

She’s the sexual equivalent of running with scissors. In a word, she’s dangerous. And completely off-limits.

Falling for her could ruin everything.

Yet I can’t seem to stop, even when her company is threatened by a lawsuit, and my promotion hinges on representing the opposing client—and winning.

I can’t see a way out of this mess that doesn’t end in a broken friendship, a broken heart, or a ruined career.

I may have broken the bro code when I fell for Ava. But do I have the balls to handle what comes next?

My Review

I received an advanced copy of this book with the promise of an honest review.

Ava has returned home to take over her father's company. She's moved back into her parent's house and is about to celebrate her father's retirement. Barrett, her brother's best friend, has returned home to attend the retirement party. Ava has always had feelings for Barrett and little does she know that he always liked her as well. But ya know...the darn bro code! So when Ava and Barrett end up under the same roof, things get really interesting.

I really enjoyed this book. There were these moments where Ava and Barrett gave in to their feelings and it was ridiculously hot and the whole "we shouldn't be doing this" factor played a big part of that. But the fact was that Ava and Barrett had genuine feelings for each other and that's what made things even better between them.

Best friend’s little sister is one of my favorites tropes. The whole “forbidden”’ aspect (which I think never really turns out to be a valid reason) can be extremely sexy if written well and Kendall has definitely pulled it off in this book.
